Plastic bubble roll:

Bubble roll in plastic is produced in the form of the roll as the sheet comes out of the extruder it gets rolled like any other fabric and rewinded slowly into a giant roll which can even be used as a punching bag or a bean bag.

Plastic Granules are used to make plastic bubble roll which is a byproduct of crude oil. However, the plastic sheet is transparent, and it should never have been called a bubble wrap as it comes in the form of a roll, but Sealed air registered it as a generic trademark called bubble wrap and like Xerox, it’s been called Bubble Wrap.

Plastic Bubble roll is recyclable, biodegradable, and reusable as well, a lot of people like even using it as a stress ball to just puncture the area in the bubble.

The guys who invented it failed in marketing the product and tried to sell it as greenhouse insulation and wallpaper, which miserably failed, Finally Sealed Air Corporation marketed the product as a protective cushion and IBM turned out to be their first client in the 1960s, IBM needed it for protecting the huge Central Processing Unit during shipments, till this date when you buy a laptop you find bubble wraps around it as extra protection, It was an American invention and till date, bubble wraps are being used in different industry e.g.

In Australia they are used as insulation with silver foiling on top, for mobile phone protection, in e-commerce for last-mile deliveries, the car sunshades, especially the silver ones have bubble roll which traps the heat and works as insulation, it is one product that young inventors are encouraged to design products made out of bubble wrap.
